FAQS

What is a tile renewal service?

Tile renewal involves restoring tiled areas through a combination of tile replacement, repairs, and re-setting to improve both appearance and structural integrity.

What types of issues can be fixed?

We can address: Cracked or broken tiles Loose or drummy tiles Uneven tiles (lippage) Failed tiles or movement Localised grout or bedding issues

Do you supply replacement tiles?

No — clients are required to supply all replacement tiles. This ensures the best possible match with your existing floor or wall.

Can you help if I don’t have spare tiles?

We can still carry out re-setting and repairs where possible, however tile replacement will only be completed where suitable tiles are provided.

What does tile re-setting involve?

Re-setting involves carefully lifting loose or drummy tiles, preparing the substrate, and reinstalling them using appropriate adhesives to ensure a solid, long-lasting bond.

Will the repaired areas look the same as the rest?

We aim for a seamless finish, however variations can occur due to age, wear, and differences in supplied tiles.

How long does the process take?

Most tile renewal works are completed within 1–2 days, depending on the size of the area and extent of repairs required.

Will there be dust or disruption?

There may be some noise and minor dust during removal and preparation. We take care to minimise disruption and leave the area clean upon completion.

How soon can the area be used again?

Light use is typically possible after 24 hours, though full curing times may vary depending on materials and site conditions.

Is tile renewal a good alternative to re-tiling?

Yes — tile renewal is often a more cost-effective and less disruptive solution, allowing you to restore problem areas without a full replacement.
